Chintakayala Ravi-Software Engineer is a neatly carved comedy film with the vigor to be called as a family entertainer. But in the process of linking the village and the western culture of USA, the director looses his way. Any how venky’s family man image and mass dolls Anushka and Mamta entertain the mass crowds to some extent. The story looks like a old wine in a new bottle tarnished with some new screenplay.

Story

The film opens with its first frame in the village back drop with lush greenery every where. Seshu (Lakshmi) is the mother of Chintakayala Ravi (venkatesh) and assumes that he is a software engineer who works and earns well in US. Ravi boats about himself to his mother that his profession is working with computers.

But in reality Chintakayala Ravi is a bar tender by profession who earns well with his hard work. He fears that his mother Sheshu will be traumatized that her son has become a bar tender instead of a software professional.

So, as the village buzzes with the news that Chintakayala Ravi is panning to come to Andhra Pradesh, his mother plans to fix his wedding. She Manages to fix the alliance of her son with Ramchandrai’s (Sayaji Shinde’s) daughter named Lavanya (Mamta Mohan das). Ramchandraiah dreams to marry his daughter to a software professional and so he agrees to Seshu’s Marriage proposal.

Lavanya has a friend named Sunitha (Anushka) who resides in US. So, she thinks that if she marries Ravi she can meet Sunitha her child hood friends.

Meanwhile, incidentally Sunitha discovers that Ravi is not software professional and instead he is a bar tender. She even discovers that Ravi is an ill charactered guy which happens to be a misunderstanding.
Meanwhile, Ravi goes to India in order to marry Lavanya, but the truth comes to the surface about his profession and true character. He faces deep criticism. So, he plans to go back to USA and clear the misunderstanding of Sunitha who spoilt the marriage alliance by speaking ill about Ravi’s character.

After some usual scenes stuffed with some emotions, the misunderstanding is cleared. Ravi promises Sunitha to find a nice husband for her. But in the meantime they fall in love with each other. But they do not discover that its love and when they find it they are unable to say it.

Meanwhile, Ramchandraiah in India finds out the truth that Ravi is a good natured boy and the circumstances which make him take up the bar tending profession. He finds Ravi suitable to his daughter and so desires to make his daughter marry to Chintakayala Ravi.

What happens next, who will marry Venky is a suspense which must be discovered on the silver screen. But all ends well, finally.

Performances

Venky with his stylish looks and lavish dresses looks young. He gives his 100% to the film and his witty dialogue delivery equipped with expressions is appreciable.

Anushka films in the glam doll role and so does Mamta Mohan Das. Sunil loves Mamta Mohan Das and desires to marry her.

Sayaji gives a good performance.

Comedy track lacked the fizz but Sunil’s comedy lines bring in some joy in the minds of the audiences.

Aarthi Chabria’s dance is sexy and NTR Junior’s guest appearance is well apt.

Coming to the director part, yogi handled the subject in a new way with foreign locales and he proved that even tollywood movies can be made in overseas locales. This may be the latest trend to make Telugu movies in Hollywood locales. Already this craze has caught up bollywood and karan Johar made it possible a few years ago.

But the script is lacking the attractiveness to mesmerize the audience. The lack of thumping subject makes the movie dull and pale. The music composed by Vishal Shekhar is not up to the mark. May be due to their ignorance about the Telugu audiences’ savor, the music composing looks dry.

On the whole this is a movie for Venky fans and Family crowds. The movie may hit the 50 day mark.
